06In Depth

Poulson Law has substantial experience managing corporate liquidations and has acted as special litigation counsel to bankruptcy trustees, debtors-in-possession, and Securities Investor Protection Corporation trustees, as well as voluntary business liquidations.

Our Liquidation Experience

Robert J. Poulson spent most of his career practicing on Wall Street as a commercial litigator specializing in the financial services sector. He has represented some of the largest financial institutions in the world. Much of his work was done for liquidations — representing many bankruptcy trustees, debtors-in-possession, SIPC trustees, and voluntary liquidations.

The Intersection of Liquidation and Asset Recovery

As a result of his work on liquidations and collection work, Robert also has a great deal of experience and expertise in asset recovery work. In recent years, he has recovered millions of dollars in unintentionally abandoned assets for corporate clients. This intersection of skills — deep understanding of liquidation processes combined with forensic asset recovery expertise — gives Poulson Law a unique advantage in resolving complex financial affairs.

Corporate liquidations require meticulous attention to detail, thorough documentation, and an understanding of the rights of all parties involved. Our experience representing both the liquidating entities and the trustees who oversee them gives us a comprehensive perspective that benefits our clients at every stage of the process.
